Don't even attempt to use DXGL with a FX5200 card. Those cards fake OpenGL 2.0 support, and when the driver loads a non-power-of-2 texture, as DXGL uses for surfaces, it will render in software mode, which is extremely slow.

same goes for many radeon 9800-x800's
AMD couldn't decide whether to switch NPOT on or not, and usually in drivers that it was enabled, it was extremely slow.
