Cursor flashing above window

Hi there!

At first: Awesome, ALL my old DirectDraw 5 games now run in full speed again on Windows 8.

However, the Windows default cursor is flashing above the window each frame which is a bit nasty.
Can I fix this with specific settings?

Please tell me which program you are having issues with, as well as your video card, so I can investigate the issue. Also, I have moved your topic to the bug reports forum.

Sorry for the late response.

It's a very unknown game "Blast Thru". If you need more information about that program feel free to ask me, I don't know if sharing the executable is ok... My graphics card is AMD Radeon HD6850

Is there any update on this? The cursor is still visible above the game window.

Additionally, the game now randomly starts to slow down between several starts.
It runs fine for several instances at its typical 30 FPS, and then slows down to 15 on another run.
